It’s my last day over at insideadog. You can read my buh-byes HERE
I posted this colour drawing of Embla and Razi, as a parting gift.
Thanks again to the insideadoglings for the january fun!!! I hope we see each other again soon.
Latest post up at insideadog. The relief of discovering that I’m not as dumb as I thought I was.
Had to shamelessly filch lovingly draw your attention to this brilliant post on the Alien Onions blog (AKA the editorial blog of my Australian publishers, Allen and Unwin. Where my good humoured, hilarious, (but hopelessly cake-addicted) Aussie editors hang out.)
It does an amazingly good job of explaining exactly what structural editing entails ( via the hilarious use of LOLcats no less)
My love for the Onions will never die.
New post up at insideadog.
About falling down the rabbit hole when writing.
Big Thanks to Joleene Naylor who e-mailed me her reviews of The Poison Throne and The Crowded Shadows.
Joleene was one of the winners of the Loups-Garous competition back in old 2009. The competition asked readers to illustrate the vision inspired by the words Loups-Garous and the prize was a copy of the first two Moorehawke books.
You might remember this wonderful drawing which Joleene did for her submission?
Joleene enter the competition via an art site we both belong to (DeviantArt) and so she hadn’t yet read either The Poison Throne nor The Crowded Shadows. I’m thrilled to hear that she enjoyed the two books so much! And I’m so touched that she would take the time to write such detailed and well thought out reviews!
Thank you Joleene.
Latest insideadog post up. Talking about self-editing,polishing, editorial process and generally poncing on about what I was up to today.
